No. Stethoscope 2026 is completely free. This is a social commitment initiative by the College Students Union — there is no fee for registration, attendance, or the one-to-one counselling.
Yes. Registration is capped to suit the venue capacity of the Aurora Auditorium. Registering in advance ensures your seat is reserved and helps the Students Union prepare the right number of counselling desks and volunteers.

Bring three things:
1. Your NEET 2026 result/scorecard — printed or on your phone. This is the most important item. The one-to-one counselling is personalised based on your actual score and rank, so having your result sheet helps our volunteers give you targeted guidance.
2. A valid photo ID — for entry verification at the campus gate.
3. A list of questions — write down your specific concerns beforehand (e.g. "Should I repeat or take a seat this year?", "What are my chances for a government seat with my rank?"). You'll get more out of the one-to-one desk if you come prepared.
Yes. While having your score helps the one-to-one counsellors give you more specific guidance, the panel talk and "Life at GMC" session are valuable regardless of whether you know your score. You can still register and attend — just leave the score field blank on the registration form.
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it. The programme has parallel tracks — aspirants get personalised one-to-one counselling while parents can visit the dedicated Parent Help Desk for admission procedures, documentation, and campus life questions. When registering, select the number of people attending so we can plan seating.
The Aurora Auditorium is the main auditorium of Government Medical College, Kozhikode, located on the GMC campus. It is a short walk from the main campus entrance.
Directional signage and student volunteers will guide registered participants to the venue on the day of the event. The campus is approximately 8 km from Kozhikode Railway Station and 25 km from Calicut International Airport.
Limited visitor parking is available on the GMC campus. We recommend arriving early (by 9:30 AM) to secure a spot. Public transport and ride-hailing services are also readily available to the campus.
Multiple counselling desks will be set up, each manned by MBBS student volunteers. You approach a desk with your NEET result, and the volunteer provides personalised guidance based on your specific score and rank.
This includes: interpreting your rank in the context of this year's results, discussing realistic college options, understanding the counselling and seat-allotment process for your category, and honest advice on whether a repeat attempt makes sense for your situation. This is the core of Stethoscope 2026 — dedicated individual attention, not a group lecture.
Yes. The panel talk (10:35 – 11:05 AM) specifically addresses the proposed shift of NEET to a computer-based test (CBT) format from next year. The panel will cover what the format change means, how preparation strategies may need to adapt, and what aspirants should be aware of going forward.
The one-to-one counselling desks are manned by current MBBS student volunteers — not faculty. These are students who recently cleared NEET themselves and are familiar with the current counselling process, the anxiety of the waiting period, and the decisions you're facing right now.
The panel talk may include senior students and potentially faculty contributors for the expert segments, but the core counselling is peer-driven — that's the point. You're getting guidance from people who were in your exact position not long ago.
No. Stethoscope 2026 is for all NEET UG 2026 aspirants, regardless of which college they are aiming for. The guidance covers the counselling process broadly — All India Quota, State Quota, and institutional preferences across government and private colleges. Our volunteers will help you understand your options wherever your rank may take you.
